This is a collection of exercises and worksheets which I have devised over the years. They have taken shape gradually through my experience of teaching and discovering what works best for people, and are based on what has helped my own development in the past and the present.
Some of these worksheets are structured around the chord changes of 'All of Me'. These exercises and principles can be applied to any set of changes: 'All of Me' provides a useful template for learning, but the methods are relevant to any harmonic framework.
The ballad arrangements teach the fundamentals of jazz harmony, using roots, thirds and sevenths (and later an extension note or two) plus the melody.
